The Chemical Throttle Valve for Mono Ethylene Glycol (CTV-MEG) from Rotator is a custom designed valve for subsea applications. The CTV-MEG is a robust restriction type valve with no moving or stressed parts during operation.
Flow adjustments are made via an electrical stepper motor and gear enclosed in a dielectric/lubricating fluid-filled housing. Two absolute pressure transducers monitor the flow rate measuring the pressure drop across the restrictor. Loss of power does not affect the flow, and all previous settings are saved. Usage history is logged in memory for diagnostic use.
